Today marks the day of the official launch of one of the internet shows I decided to green light myself, the Roadside Cowboys, which follows the real life journey of 3 friends willing to do whatever it takes to pursue their dreams. Diego and I found these “Cowboys” literally on the side of the road. They didn’t have much except big dreams, big hearts, a whole lot of footage from their journey thus far, and an RV lifestyle that afforded them the opportunity to live thrifty.
When we offered to partner with them and have their show Produced and Directed by us under my new label Turtle In a Party Dress, they were genuinely thrilled and have been so thankful for every little thing we have done for them ever since, but to be honest I am not sure who has helped who more.
In the two months since I have been working with these boys they have continually surprised me with their kindness, generosity and earnest desire to lift people’s spirits. They have absolutely lifted mine. As a lifelong dreamer myself, I immediately related to these boys and their desire to give up the good life in pursuit of a great one, they are such a reflection of the 20 year old me and helping them and giving them the kind of guidance I wish someone would have given me at their age has somehow had the impact of boomeranging right back around, giving me the confidence to push even further with my own dreams.
It all just feels like right timing and I now suspect that we will be making each others dreams come true together. To my Cowboys I say “I am so thankful to have you in my life and can’t wait to see where this crazy journey leads.” And to everyone else, I hope you will like their FB page and subscribe to them on You Tube. I truly believe that over time they will reveal themselves to be, not just gorgeous and amusing, but a refreshing surprise and a joy to follow.
And special thanks to Diego Torroija and Max Grill for their help telling the story and making it all look so beautiful!
