I finally get to a place where I am truly happy with my day to day life, love the new house, the city life, totally inspired about my career and all the possibilities when what pops up but the realization that as happy as I am I  just miss all my family and friends so much and there’s not enough phone hours in the day to really do anything about it.

I miss all 5 of my parents, my brother, aunts, uncles, cousins, brother’s and sister-in-laws and grandparents so so much. I miss my childhood friends, my Art Sake friends, my writing workshop buddies, my Challenge Day family, all the ladies at Women In Film Florida, all my parents friends that I have adopted and all the random don’t-fit-in-a-category friends that I have met along the way. Chances are if you are reading this and don’t fall into one of those catagories it doesnt matter…I miss you too.

Not sure what to do about it short of moving everyone to California or trying to negotiate with God for a pause button that allows me to stop time every now and then so that I can call and catch up with each and every person I love (which is a lot o’ people). I’ll keep working on those brilliant ideas, but in the meantime I’m wondering if I might be able to inspire some of you to write me a little update every now and then on what’s happening with you. It doesn’t have to be long and it doesnt have to be public like I’m doing with my blog and I promise it won’t take the place of me actually trying to call or visit, it would just be a little update so I don’t miss out on so much of what is happening with you in between.

For my part I will keep updating the blog once a week so you can keep up with me. (If you want the updates to automatically come to you all you have to do is hit the subscribe button on the right corner of the blog and it will email them). It helps me feel connected knowing that you read what I’m up to but I really want to hear what you are up to as well.

Much love to everyone! And big hugs.

Holly

  1. Ditto – I’ll try to get weekly updates out to you as well. I’m off to Boston tomorrow for a conference and returning on Friday. Love you too,

    Mom

  2. Oh momma….I know all of us have a little (or big) slice of Holly missing in our lives! All the love in the world to you and call me any time you’re homesick!!! SUPER BIG KISSES FROM FLORIDA!!!

  3. Hey Holly, it’s your brother. I tried calling you today but I knew you would be at work. Sorry it took so long to get back to you. I got a root canal done yesterday which was exciting and not much fun. Although the nitrous was sort of the highlight of the adventure. Hopefully that will be the last root canal I have to endure. Our new company HAI Solutions is starting to gain some steam, still have some negotiations on the Sales Rep. Agreement. Adam just had his second little girl yesterday, so he is pretty happy right now. Lauren is looking more preggo everyday, pretty fun to watch her get bigger. Dad and I are headed to MIT next week which should be fun. I’ve always wanted to visit there, hopefully our new child will not be quite as hyper as I was and maybe just maybe he will actually get to attend that fine school. Jay Curtis got the Tesla (electric car). It is so stupid fast that it kind of scares you. 0-60 in 3.7 seconds which is fast enough to make you poop yourself if you aren’t expecting it. Put a huge smile on Laurens face when she drove it 🙂
Well, I will write from time to time. I am getting ready to head home and try and get some sleep. I dream so vividly these days that I feel like I use more energy asleep then I do awake. Hope that passes or my mood is going to get rough.
    Love ya,
    Brad
